Quote of the Week: February 3

As part of our revamp, we’re doing occasional features in our blog.

One of them is Quote of the Week, which (as you’ve probably guessed) will be posted about once a week. It may not always be something from this week, but it’ll have to make us laugh, think or cry – and we’re a difficult bunch to convince.

This first offering is of interest to journalism students, as it happens.

From a job application overview for the position of Daily Sport sub-editor:

“It is essential that candidates have a sense of humour and feel equally comfortable subbing copy on the size of a page three model’s enormous boobs, as they do handling court stories.”

And lo and behold...!

 

Somewhat prescient when considering the recent Keys-Gray brewhaha, we think.

But at this point, wouldn’t it be useful if we had some kind of way to link the events; a picture or caption juxtaposing the two situations in an amusing manner, for instance?
